RANGERS REPORTEDLY WANT TO BRING 28-YEAR-OLD TO IBROX NEXT SUMMER

Rangers are keen on Ayo Obileye and he has previously shared his admiration for ex-Gers midfielder Joe Aribo. Gers director of football Ross Wilson is coming in for strong criticism after a mixed summer transfer window. Defensive additions may be on the radar for January and one current Scottish Premiership ace is being linked. Obileye, 28, was previously in the ranks of clubs like Chelsea, Sheffield Wednesday and Charlton Athletic.

After dipping into non-league football with Eastleigh, Dover Athletic, Maidenhead United and Ebbsfleet United, Obileye headed to Queen of the South in 2020. Livingston pounced to sign Obileye in 2021 and the Englishman has been so good that Nigeria are now looking into calling Obileye may be a late bloomer and whilst it’s unlikely that he could become a key player at Celtic or Rangers, his performances are attracting interest.
