Crystal Palace winger Andros Townsend has revealed that he's open to a move to either Rangers or Celtic in the Scottish Premiership. 13-time England international Townsend talked about his immediate future in an interview with TalkSports as he stated that he won't mind joining either Celtic or Rangers if the opportunity presents itself.

29-year-old Townsendhas few days left on his current deal at South London club Crystal Palaceas he would be a free agent as from the start of next month. Townsend is one of several playing staff whose contract at Crystal Palace expires at the end of this month.

Townsend is an experienced winger who has played for clubs like Newcastle United, Queens Park Rangers (QPR) and TottenhamHotspur in the Premier League. He has been a regular in the Crystal Palace starting XI for several seasons and his wealth of experience could prove useful for the two Scottish Premiership giants namely Rangers and Celtic provided that they make a move to sign him as a free agent this summer.

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has had to work efficiently with a limited budget since his appointment as the Gers manager and a move for Townsend could represent shrewd business on the part of him and the club though his salary could be a major problem. English winger Townsend earns £53,000 on a weekly basis at Crystal Palace and he might need to take a pay cut to sign for Rangers.

Townsend had played for three teams as revealed earlier before signing for Crystal Palace and he has made a total of over 240 appearances in the Premier League and he has an attacking return of 48 goals and 75 assists in those games. The winger has the ability to succeed if he moves to Scottish football for the first time in his career.
