Rangers midfielder Joe Aribo is attracting the interest of several clubs ahead of the January transfer window. This is according to the report from the stables of the Football Insider which stated that the Scottish champions are not ready to let the midfielder go easily. It was stated that interested clubs will have to pay around £10m for the Super Eagles of Nigeria player.

Aribo was at London club Charlton Athletic until the summer of 2019 when he signed for Scottish champions Rangers. The Nigerian left Charlton Athletic at the end of his contract with the London club thus paving the way for him to sign for Rangers as a free agent. Aribo signed a four-year deal upon joining Rangers and he has 18 months left on his contract at the club.

Former Rangers star MattPolster has been named in the latest Team of the Week in the MLS (Major League Soccer). He was rewarded with a place on the team after his goal gave New England Revolution the points during their latest league meeting against Philadelphia Union.
Polsteris a versatile player who’s adept at both right-back and midfield. The ex-Rangers man scored the only goal of the game in a 1-0 win at home to Philadelphia Union at the weekend. Polster became a New England Revolution player at the start of last season.

Scottish Premiership giants Rangers have surprisingly been kicked out of the Scottish League Cup this season at the quarterfinal stage after they were beaten by St. Mirren. Rangers were the overwhelming favourites to advance to the semi-finals of the Scottish League Cup ahead of their hosts who had other ideas. St. Mirren scored in added time to dump the Scottish Premiership leaders out of the competition. Rangers and hosts St. Mirren shared five goals as the former ended up on the wrong side of the thriller.

Irish footballer Conor McCarthy was the recipient of the winning goal thereby leading St. Mirren to the last four of the competition as a result of that goal. His goal came shortly after experienced cum veteran midfielder Steven Davis came off the bench to score the equalizer for Steven Gerrard’s team. His goal came five minutes from time, and it counted for nothing in the end after his team conceded another goal in added time to exit the competition.

Glasgow Rangers have topped the Scottish Premier League table and finally, they have turned everything in their favor as Steven Gerrard and his team made everything possible. They are now ahead of their arch-rivals Celtic with a lead of 9 points which Celtic can’t overcome anyway. Celtic has 2 games left of their Scottish Premier League campaign and so the Glasgow Rangers have now become the favorites in the table to come first in the championship.
